Slot Technician
Starting Pay Rate: Depending on Experience
JOB SUMMARY
The Slot Technician is responsible for performing routine repairs, maintenance and
modifications of gaming devices throughout the casino while keeping downtime to a minimum.
All employees are expected to conduct themselves in a manner which demonstrates friendliness, initiative, professionalism, personal awareness and integrity while exercising confidentiality in the appropriate areas of their performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Promote positive guest relations by projecting a courteous, helpful attitude and assisting internal and external guests
- Assists with installation, removal, and inspection of electronic gaming devices, hardware, equipment and associated systems as required for efficient, continuous conduct of business operations
- Identifies all malfunctions, troubleshoots, and performs necessary repairs of electronic gaming devices and equipment as required
- Adjusts electronic and electro-mechanical equipment to ensure maximum efficiency
- Performs necessary preventive maintenance and hardware/software upgrades of
- electronic gaming devices as required
- Respond to service calls and complete repairs in a timely manner while delivering excellent guest service under sometimes difficult or tense situations
- Assists in installation, removal, conversion, and relocation of gaming devices and stands
- Assists in ensuring device integrity when jackpots or device malfunctions occur
- Handles gaming device inventory control ensuring gaming device parts are properly returned and documented
- Assists with player tracking hardware and software installations and repairs.

- Ensures compliance with company policy and gaming regulations
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of all the amenities available at the casino, provides information to guests and directions as needed
- Assists with keeping the slot floor clean and orderly; push in chairs, pick up debris and remove used glasses, etc.
- Regularly provides information to management staff regarding safety concerns and the general appearance of the casino to ensure a quality and safe environment
- Show willingness and effort to work as a team
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be at least 21
- 3-5 years of experience in the installation, removal, maintenance, and repair of gaming devices and associated equipment in a casino preferred
- Ability to understand basic electronic theory and basic schematics and wiring diagrams
- Ability to navigate through gaming device menus to find audit, last game recall, and event logs
- Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, test equipment, and instruments as applicable
- Experience with performing installations and conversions on the following Gaming Device platforms preferred: CPU 3, GEN 7 and 8, AVP 3.0 and 4.0, KP3 and KP3+, SBX
- Effective oral communication skills
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work independently and follow verbal and written directions
- Must have strong attention to detail
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; electronic technical training preferred
- Must be able to lift 15lbs regularly and up to 65lbs occasionally
- Must be able to stand and walk; stoop, kneel, bend or crouch; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear; close/distance/color/peripheral vision, depth perception and focus
