Steakhouse Busperson | $12hr + tips
JOB SUMMARY
The Busperson is responsible for clearing, setting and servicing tables while also assisting the Food Servers and other front-of-house operations as needed to ensure guest satisfaction.
All employees are expected to conduct themselves in a manner which demonstrates friendliness, initiative, professionalism, personal awareness and integrity while exercising confidentiality in the appropriate areas of their performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Promote positive guest relations by projecting a courteous, helpful attitude and assisting guests throughout their visit
- Greet guests by offering water service and additional beverages
- Maintain full working knowledge and understanding of all menus
- Assist Server throughout the dining experience in a quick and efficient manner
- Assist with presentation of food and beverage items ordered and ensure quality and consistency of the order
- Remove used tableware between courses, crumb table cloth and provide tableware for next course
- Promptly clean table tops, chairs and booths after guests depart; check floor and clean as required
- Take tableware to dish room and place items in appropriate areas for washing
- Reset and arrange tabletop; place linen, silverware, etc.
- Perform assigned opening duties to stock station with proper supply levels needed for the shift and closing side work to ensure a clean and safe station
- Regularly provide information to servers and Supervisor/Manager regarding guest reactions, comments, or problems that may arise and any safety/appearance concerns to ensure a quality and safe environment
- Show willingness and effort to work as a team
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent people skills and ability to courteously and efficiently interact with fellow employees, management and guests to ensure a positive experience
- Must pay attention to detail including cleanliness and safety
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and listen attentively
- Must follow verbal and written directions, policies, and procedures
- Ability to lift, handle and carry (e.g. trays and equipment) a minimum of 25 pounds on a frequent basis
- Ability to bend, stand, walk and exert well-paced mobility during entire shift
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed
